The Summit Lodge was founded in 2014 by the Erasmus family, who fell in love with a century-old Cape Dutch home in Oranjezicht and spent two years restoring it to its present glory.
What began as a passion project became one of Cape Town's most celebrated boutique guesthouses — a place where the warmth of family hospitality meets the standards of a world-class hotel.

Claudia founded The Summit Lodge with her husband in 2014. A passionate host with a background in fine dining, she ensures every guest feels at home.
Thabo trained at the SA Chefs Academy and brings Cape Malay and contemporary South African influences to our bespoke breakfast menu.
Nadia handles all guest enquiries and reservations. If you need a restaurant recommendation, a wine tour, or a surprise arranged — she's your person.
